Valfisken

Valfisken is a film production company dedicated to creating films that explore contemporary societal issues through local perspectives. We are based between Stockholm, Kalmar and Santiago de Chile.

We met at the Öland Documentary Film School and together we make films.

Leandro, with a master's degree in sociology from Sorbonne University in Paris, has presented documentary works at events such as the Tempo Documentary Festival and the Swedish Short Film Festival. His latest film, "Torget med många namn" (The Square with Many Names), has been exhibited at Liljevalchs Konsthall in Stockholm.

Samori, with a background in philosophy from Södertörn University and scriptwriting education from Alma Lövs skola, has showcased films both nationally and internationally. His recent work, "Waithood," was selected to compete in the Tempo Documentary Award.
